So you've been and added a job card into your Workshop.
To add or edit details of the job, you'll need to go into the job card.
Take a look at our picture guide below to explore the job card in more detail...

1. Job Number
The job prefixes (e.g. J0001) can be configured in General Settings > Location Information. Press the arrow to head back to the Jobs homepage.
2. Job Details
In the Job details section, you can see an overview of the job's date and time, assigned technician, advisor, bay location, and coutersy type.
To edit the booking details, click Edit customer/vehicle & booking details. To add notes to appear on the customer's invoice, click Add invoice notes.

You can change the job's status using the drop-down menu. Once the job has been completed in the workshop tick the Completed checkbox. The screen will refresh to show the new status.

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to find the Print and Email menus. Here you can generate print-friendly documents related to the Job. These templates can be changed in the Admin section.

3. Contact & Vehicle information
Key customer and vehicle information is displayed here. Click Edit customer/vehicle & booking details to edit & save customer or vehicle data directly from within the job card.
4. Communication
The Communications tab is where all communications for the job are recorded onto the job card.
To record any internal notes or to send an SMS message to the customer onto the job, simply click New Message.

If the customer replies to an SMS message for this job, the reply will also be shown here (you'll need to have inbound SMS configured to do this in General Settings > Location information).
Use the drop-down menu to filter what type of communication records your want to see, or select All to see all communications for this job.
5. Activity Log
The Activity Log tab is where key events in the life of the job card are recorded and time stamped. So when you change any of the job details, you can be sure to find a record in the Activity log, whether adding repair items, purchase orders, invoices and much more...
